Give me a drink from the large goblet.

Quench it with cool sherbet

إِسقِنيها مُزَّةً تَأ

خُذُني مِنها اِستِدارَه

خُذُني مِنها اِستِدارَه

Give it to me tart, so I am seized—

Quench it nicely to take

—by the dizzy whirl it brings.

Me away from its heat

إِسقِنيها كَي تُسَلّي

ما بِقَلبي مِن حَرارَه
