بأبي من هويته وافترقنا
وقضىand decreed اللَهGod بعدafter ذاكthat اجتماعاa reunion
وقضى اللَه بعد ذاك اجتماعا
My father be the ransom of the one I loved—and we parted;
May my father be ransom for the one I loved, from whom I parted;
then God ordained that afterward we meet again.

افترقناwe parted حولاfor a year فلماthen when التقيناwe met
افترقنا حولا فلما التقينا
