Sol 6.1

  1. أقمت عمود الدين حين أماله

    لطاغي الفرنج الغتم طاغي بني سعد

    You set upright the pillar of faith when it was bent

    by the tyrant of Banu Saʿd for the tyrant of the uncouth Franks.

  2. وجاهدت حزب الكفر حتى رددتهم

    خزايا عليهم خيبة الذل والرد

    And you fought the faction of unbelief until you drove them back,

    disgraced, suffering the disappointment of humiliation and repulse.

  3. أفدت بما قدمت ملكا مخلدا

    وذكرا مدى الأيام يقرن بالحمد

    You gained, through what you accomplished, everlasting dominion,

    and renown coupled with praise for all time.

  4. وذكرك في الآفاق يسري كأنه ال

    صباح له نشر الألوة والند

    And your renown spreads across the horizons, as though it were the

    morning, bearing the fragrance of aloeswood and nadd incense.
