تهن يا أطول الملوك يدا

تهن يا أطول الملوك يدا

في بسط عدل وسطوة وندى

في بسط عدل وسطوة وندى

Rejoice, O you whose hand reaches farthest among kings,

Extend your hand, O longest of kings,

In spreading justice, might, and bounty,

In spreading justice, authority and benevolence

أجرا وذكرا من ذلك الشكر في ال

أجرا وذكرا من ذلك الشكر في ال

دنيا ومن ذلك الجنان غدا

دنيا ومن ذلك الجنان غدا

At reward and renown: among these, gratitude in the

You shall earn reward and renown for this -

World, and among these, the gardens of Paradise tomorrow.

In this life, gratitude, and in the next, Paradise

لا تستقل الذي صنعت فقد

لا تستقل الذي صنعت فقد

قمت بفرض الجهاد مجتهدا

قمت بفرض الجهاد مجتهدا

Do not belittle what you have done, for indeed

Do not underestimate what you have accomplished

You have zealously fulfilled the duty of jihad.

For you have diligently fulfilled the duty of jihad

وجست أرض العدا وأفنيت من

وجست أرض العدا وأفنيت من

أبطالهم ما يجاوز العددا

أبطالهم ما يجاوز العددا

And you traversed the enemy's land and slew, among

And tread the land of the enemy, destroying

Their champions, more than can be counted.

Their heroes beyond count

وما رأينا غزا الفرنج من ال

وما رأينا غزا الفرنج من ال

ملوك في عقر دارهم أحدا

ملوك في عقر دارهم أحدا

Nor have we seen the Franks attacked by any of the

Never have we seen a Frankish king wage war

Kings in the very heart of their homeland.

In the inner sanctum of their land

فسر إلى الشام فالملائكة ال

فسر إلى الشام فالملائكة ال

أبرار تلقاك ملتقى حمدا

أبرار تلقاك ملتقى حمدا

So journey to al-Sham, for the angels, the

So march on to Syria, where the righteous

Righteous ones, will greet you with a welcome of praise.

فهو فقير إليك يأمل أن

فهو فقير إليك يأمل أن

تصلح بالعدل منه ما فسدا

تصلح بالعدل منه ما فسدا

For it is in need of you, hoping that

For Syria is in need of you, hoping

You will set right through justice what has become corrupt within it.

That you will reform with justice what is corrupted

والله يعطيك فيه عاقبة الن

والله يعطيك فيه عاقبة الن

نصر كما في كتابه وعدا

نصر كما في كتابه وعدا

And God will grant you there an outcome of

And God will grant you the outcome of

Victory, as He promised in His Book.

Victory in it, as promised in His Book

فما حباك الورى وألهمك ال

فما حباك الورى وألهمك ال

عدل وأعطاك ما ملكت سدى

عدل وأعطاك ما ملكت سدى

For He did not grant you humankind, inspire you with

It is not in vain that the world loves you, and justice inspires you,

Justice, and give you what you possess in vain.

And that He has given you what you possess, not fruitlessly
