رَفْعُ الحُظوظِ لِمَن أصَبْنَ وحطُّ مَن

أخْطأْنَه فيهِ يَحارُ العاقِلُ

Raising hopes for those who are right and lowering those who

يُعطَى الغَبِيُّ ويُحْرمُ النَّدبُ الفَتى

كالدّيكِ تُوِّجَ والبُزاةُ عَواطلُ

The stupid is given and the good lad is deprived

Like the rooster being crowned and the goats are foolish
