يا مُنعِماً مَوْردُ إحسانِه

يا مُنعِماً مَوْردُ إحسانِه

سَهلٌ فَما في مَنِّهِ مَنُّ

سَهلٌ فَما في مَنِّهِ مَنُّ

O benefactor, whose wellspring of kindness

O Generous One whose favor is an abundant spring

Is easily reached, with no reproach in his giving.

Effortless; so there is no lack of favor in his gifts

قد اقْتَدى بالمُزْنِ في جُودِه

قد اقْتَدى بالمُزْنِ في جُودِه

بل بِنداهُ يَقتدي المُزنُ

بل بِنداهُ يَقتدي المُزنُ

He has emulated the rain clouds in his generosity;

He has followed the rain clouds in his generosity

Rather, the rain clouds emulate his bounty.

Rather, even the rain clouds follow his example

بَسَطْتَ كفّاً في النّدى والوغَى

بَسَطْتَ كفّاً في النّدى والوغَى

ما كَفَّها بُخلٌ ولا جُبْنُ

ما كَفَّها بُخلٌ ولا جُبْنُ

You have extended a hand in generosity and battle;

You extended a generous hand in ease and hardship

Neither stinginess nor cowardice has held it back.

Neither miserliness nor cowardice could restrain it

فاسلَم من الدّهرِ ففِيه على

فاسلَم من الدّهرِ ففِيه على

كلِّ كريمٍ ماجِدٍ ضِغنُ

كلِّ كريمٍ ماجِدٍ ضِغنُ

So may you be safe from Time, for it harbors against

So he is safe from time's harms for in him is over

Every generous, illustrious man a grudge.

Every generous, glorious soul a shelter
