لا تَأْمَنَنْ كَيدَ العَدُوْ

لا تَأْمَنَنْ كَيدَ العَدُوْ

وِ فَأَمنُ كيدِهِمُ غَرَرْ

وِ فَأَمنُ كيدِهِمُ غَرَرْ

Never feel safe from the enemy’s scheming;

Do not feel secure from the plots of the enemy,

for feeling safe from their scheming is a risk.

for to feel secure from their plots is delusion.

كُنْ منْه إن كان القَوِيْ

كُنْ منْه إن كان القَوِيْ

يَ أو الضَّعيفَ على حَذَرْ

يَ أو الضَّعيفَ على حَذَرْ

Be on your guard against him, whether he is strong

Be wary of them, whether they are strong

or weak.

or weak, always be on your guard.

فالماءُ يُطفي النارَ طب

فالماءُ يُطفي النارَ طب

عَاً في الصَّفاءِ وفي الكَدَرْ

عَاً في الصَّفاءِ وفي الكَدَرْ

For water extinguishes fire by nature,

For water can extinguish fire when it is pure

whether clear or turbid.

and clean, or when it is muddy and murky.
