Do not entrust a complaint to a brother's ear;
Do not pour into a friend's ear a grievance,
For the heart has a greater claim to what it has concealed.
For the heart itself is worthier of that which ails us.

And all that we complain of in our time—
And all that we lament of our time
We depart from it, or it departs from us.
Will either decline from us or pass away from us.
