حَمَلَ القَلبُ مِن حُمَيدَةَ ثِقلا

حَمَلَ القَلبُ مِن حُمَيدَةَ ثِقلا

إِنَّ في ذاكَ لِلفُؤادِ لَشُغلا

إِنَّ في ذاكَ لِلفُؤادِ لَشُغلا

The heart has borne a burden from Humayda.

My heart bears a heavy weight from Humaydah

Indeed, in that there is much to occupy the heart.

Indeed, that is an occupation for my heart

إِن فَعَلتُ الَّذي سَأَلتِ فَقولي

إِن فَعَلتُ الَّذي سَأَلتِ فَقولي

حَمدُ خَيراً وَأَتبِعي القَولَ فِعلا

وَصِليني فَأُشهِدَ اللَهَ أَنّي

And grant me union with you, so I may call God to witness that I
