أَبا مَطَرٍ هَلُمَّ إِلى صَلاحٍ

أَبا مَطَرٍ هَلُمَّ إِلى صَلاحٍ

فَتَكفيكَ النَدامى مِن قُريشِ

فَتَكفيكَ النَدامى مِن قُريشِ

O Abū Maṭar, come to Ṣalāḥ;

O Abu Matar, come to reconciliation

Then drinking companions from Quraysh will meet your needs.

Then the repentant ones of Quraysh will suffice you

وَتأمَنَ وَسطَهُم وَتَعيشُ فيهِم

وَتأمَنَ وَسطَهُم وَتَعيشُ فيهِم

أَبا مَطَرٍ هُديتَ بِخيرِ عَيشِ

أَبا مَطَرٍ هُديتَ بِخيرِ عَيشِ

And you will be safe in their midst and live among them.

And you will be safe among them and live with them

O Abū Maṭar, may you be guided to the best of lives.

O Abu Matar, you have been guided to the best life

وَتَسكُنُ بَلدَةً عَزَّت لِقاحاً

وَتَسكُنُ بَلدَةً عَزَّت لِقاحاً

وَتَأمَنُ أَن يَزورُك رَبُّ جَيشِ

وَتَأمَنُ أَن يَزورُك رَبُّ جَيشِ

And you will dwell in a town, mighty and independent,

And you will settle in a town whose dwellings stood proud

And be safe from a visit by the lord of an army.

And you will be safe from the invading army's lord
