عِندَ ذِي العَرشِ يُعرَضونَ عَليهِ

عِندَ ذِي العَرشِ يُعرَضونَ عَليهِ

يَعلَمُ الجَهرَ وَالكَلامَ الخَفِيّا

يَعلَمُ الجَهرَ وَالكَلامَ الخَفِيّا

Before the Lord of the Throne, they are presented to Him.

Before the Lord of the Throne they shall be made to appear

He knows open speech and words spoken in secret.

He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden

يَومَ نَأتيهِ وَهوَ رَبٌّ رَحيمٌ

يَومَ نَأتيهِ وَهوَ رَبٌّ رَحيمٌ

إِنَهُ كانَ وَعدُهُ مَأتِيّا

إِنَهُ كانَ وَعدُهُ مَأتِيّا

On the day we come to Him, He is a merciful Lord.

The day we shall come to Him while He is a Merciful Lord

Indeed, His promise is certain to be fulfilled.

Indeed His promise shall come to pass

يَومَ نَأتيهِ مِثلَما قالَ فَرداً

يَومَ نَأتيهِ مِثلَما قالَ فَرداً

لَم يَذَر فيهِ راشِداً وَغَوِيّا

لَم يَذَر فيهِ راشِداً وَغَوِيّا

On the day we come to Him, just as He said, each alone.

The day we shall come to Him just as He said plainly

He leaves out no one that day, rightly guided or astray.

He left in it no guided one, nor one gone astray

أَسَعيدٌ سَعادَةً أَنا أَرجو

أَسَعيدٌ سَعادَةً أَنا أَرجو

أَم مُهانٌ بِما كَسَبتُ شَقيّا

أَم مُهانٌ بِما كَسَبتُ شَقيّا

Will I be blessed with the happiness I hope for,

Happy in happiness am I hopeful to be

Or humiliated and wretched because of what I have earned?

Or disgraced by what evil deeds I have committed?

رَبِّ إِن تَعفُ فالمُعافاةُ ظَنّي

رَبِّ إِن تَعفُ فالمُعافاةُ ظَنّي

أَو تُعاقِب فَلم تُعاقِب بَرِيّا

أَو تُعاقِب فَلم تُعاقِب بَرِيّا

My Lord, if You pardon me, pardon is what I expect.

My Lord if You pardon, pardoning is my hope

Or if You punish me, You will not have punished an innocent.

Or if You punish, You punish not the innocent

إِن أُواخَذ بِما اِجتَرَمتُ فَإِنّي

إِن أُواخَذ بِما اِجتَرَمتُ فَإِنّي

سَوفَ أَلقى مِنَ العَذابِ فَرِيّا

سَوفَ أَلقى مِنَ العَذابِ فَرِيّا

If I am held to account for what I have committed, then surely I

If I am seized for the crimes I have perpetrated

Will encounter dreadful torment.

Then indeed from punishment I will suffer greatly

رَبِّ كَلاً حَتَّمتَهُ وَارِدَ النارِ

رَبِّ كَلاً حَتَّمتَهُ وَارِدَ النارِ

كِتاباً حَتَّمتَهُ مَقضِيّا

كِتاباً حَتَّمتَهُ مَقضِيّا

My Lord, You have decreed that everyone shall come to the Fire,

My Lord, one destined for Hell and bound to enter

A decree You have made binding and final.

A book made binding, a decree executed

ربِّ لا تَحرِمّنّي جَنّةَ الخُلدِ

ربِّ لا تَحرِمّنّي جَنّةَ الخُلدِ

وَكُن رَبِّ بي رَؤوفاً حَفِيّا

وَكُن رَبِّ بي رَؤوفاً حَفِيّا

My Lord, do not deprive me of the Garden of Eternity.

My Lord, deprive me not of Paradise Everlasting

And be, my Lord, compassionate and gracious toward me.

And be to me, my Lord, Gentle, Protecting
