1. تَفديكَ أُختُكَ قَد حُييتَ بِنَعمَةٍ

    لَسنا نَعُدُّ لَنا الزَمانَ عَديلا

    Your sister would ransom you; you have indeed been greeted with a blessing.

    We do not reckon time a match for us,

  2. إِلّا الخُلودَ وَذاكَ قُربُكَ سَيِّدي

    لا زالَ قُربُكَ وَالبَقاءُ طَويلا

    except eternity—and that is your nearness, my lord.

    May your nearness and continued life last long.

  3. وَحَمَدتُ رَبّي في إِجابَةِ دَعوَتي

    وَرَأَيتُ حَمدي عِندَ ذاكَ قَليلا

    And I praised my Lord for answering my prayer,

    and I found my praise then meager.
