أَيا حِبُّ اللَهِ لِمَ هَجَرتَني

أَيا حِبُّ اللَهِ لِمَ هَجَرتَني

صَدَدتِ عِنّى فَما تُباليني

صَدَدتِ عِنّى فَما تُباليني

O beloved, by God, why have you forsaken me?

Oh love of God, why have you forsaken me

You turned away from me and do not care for me.

Turned away from me, no longer caring for me

وَآمِلُ الوَعدَ مِنكِ ذو غَرَرٍ

وَآمِلُ الوَعدَ مِنكِ ذو غَرَرٍ

لا تَخدَعيهِ كَما خَدَعتيني

لا تَخدَعيهِ كَما خَدَعتيني

And he who hopes for your promise is at risk.

And I, hopeful of your promise, though misled

Do not deceive him as you deceived me.

Do not deceive him as you have deceived me

أَينَ اليَمينُ الَّتي حَلَفتُ بِها

أَينَ اليَمينُ الَّتي حَلَفتُ بِها

وَالشاهِدُ اللَهُ ثُمَّ خُنتيني

وَالشاهِدُ اللَهُ ثُمَّ خُنتيني

Where is the oath that I swore?

Where is the oath to which I swore

And God was the witness; then you betrayed me.

With God as my witness, though you betrayed me
