مَعقِلُ القَومِ مِن قُرَيشٍ إِذا ما

مَعقِلُ القَومِ مِن قُرَيشٍ إِذا ما

فازَ بِالجَهلِ مَعشَرٌ آخَرونا

فازَ بِالجَهلِ مَعشَرٌ آخَرونا

The refuge of the people of Quraysh, whenever

The tribe's refuge from Quraysh, when

another band prevails through folly.

Another group prevailed through ignorance

لا يَؤوبونَ في العَشيرَةِ بِالسَو

لا يَؤوبونَ في العَشيرَةِ بِالسَو

ءِ وَلا يُفسِدونَ ما يَصنَعونا

ءِ وَلا يُفسِدونَ ما يَصنَعونا

They do not return among the clan bearing evil,

They bring no shame upon the clan with evil

nor do they spoil what they make.

Nor make ruined what they have built
