وَشَفَّ فُؤادَكَ الطَرَبُ
The clan departed and went far from home.
The loved ones left and you were saddened
And yearning wore away your heart.
And yearning broke your heart

In it is a tethering post for horses,
In it the neighing of steeds
And little tents, and something set upright.
And tents erected tall

And it separated between our people
By ancient blood-feud and anger.
The ancient rancor and wrath

That we are a lofty branch when they trace their lineage:
We are a branch, when they claim ancestry

The weak, and flight went far.
The lowly and hastened their flight
