Greetings to you from us, O mother of the child with cowrie shells,

And the necklace, the amulets, and the onyx beads.

She bends tenderly over a child, playing with him,

    Smooth-browed, born of bald-headed lords.

He cries, so she quiets him with her cloak,

And her drooping hair hangs over him,

Long and luxuriant—she has gathered her tresses

With musk—a casket of a woman skilled in gathering.
