أروحُ بتسليم عليكِ وأغتدي

أروحُ بتسليم عليكِ وأغتدي

وحسُبك بالتَسليم مني تقاضيا

I go to greet you in the evening and in the morning;

And let my greeting suffice as my claim upon you.

كفى بِطلابِ المرء مل لا ينالهُ

كفى بِطلابِ المرء مل لا ينالهُ

عناءً وباليأس المبّرح شافيا

عناءً وباليأس المبّرح شافيا

A person's pursuit of what they cannot attain suffices

For suffering; and agonizing despair suffices as a cure.
