And a raincloud whose soul's lifeblood God poured out
And a downpour God unleashed, outpouring the anguish in His soul
In a fertile valley whose stars are not veiled.
Through a valley of torment, its stars never concealed

So the water overflowed its banks

We rode out toward it at daybreak on the foremost of steeds,
At dawn we went forth against it with the vanguard of horses
In haste, while the brow of dawn's light gleamed,
Attacking while the light of dawn flashed in its brows

On a purebred steed, strong of pastern, compact of hock,
With swift, hard-hoofed steeds, their hooves like anvils
Its spinal bones and limb bones tightly knit together.
Charging with determination, their fronts and brows firm
