The bells called us to youth
When souls inclined towards the dawns
And the air's breeze softened until
Its rising could barely be felt
As if the dawn and night when
The daybreak shone were blessed or cursed
Best was the wind whenever the comrade
Breeze bid farewell with sweet words
So he hastened the cups in the morning
And gave us wine while it was sunshine
