Sweeter than a longer span of life;

Sweeter than an enjoyable life

ومن إذا شبّهته لم أَجِد

ومن إذا شبّهته لم أَجِد

لوجهه شِبْهاً سوى البدر

لوجهه شِبْهاً سوى البدر

And you, when I compare you, I find no

And if I likened him, I would not find

Likeness for your face save the full moon.

For his face a likeness except the full moon

سَلْ لحظَ عينيك وتفتيرَه
