فديْتُكِmay I be your ransom أينwhere ماwhat قدalready كنتyou were قُلْتيyou said
فديْتُكِ أين ما قد كنت قُلْتي

أَحُلْني عن مودّتنا وزُلْتي
May I be your ransom—where is what you once said?
Wherever you may be, my darling, you said,
“Release me from our love”—and you turned away.
“Release me from our love and my misstep.”
فماfor it is not بكwith you أنّthat ليI have ذنباًa fault ولكنand yet
فما بك أنّ لي ذنباً ولكن
أظنّكI think you بعدafter ودّكyour love ليfor me نَدِمْتyou regretted it
أظنّك بعد ودّك لي نَدِمْت
It is not any fault of mine that troubles you, but
Yet I've done no wrong. But it seems to me
I think that, after loving me, you regretted it.
You've come to regret your love for me.
