بأحمرَ قانٍ وذي زُرقةٍ

واصفَر في لونه فاقعِ

In deep crimson and in blue,

With red dye and blueness

And yellow, vivid in its hue.

And yellow in its dazzling color

تأنَّقتِ الأرضُ في نَبْتهِ

تأنَّقتِ الأرضُ في نَبْتهِ

تأنُّقَ مقتدِرٍ صانع

تأنُّقَ مقتدِرٍ صانع

The earth tended their growth with exquisite care,

The earth was adorned in its growth

The care of an able craftsman.

Adorned by the ability of the Maker

فجاء كبردِ ثُغُور المَهَا

وفاح كعنبرها الرادعِ

They came, cool as the mouths of oryx-eyed beauties,

It came like the cold of the lips of the beloved

And wafted fragrance like their potent ambergris,

And it smelled like her soothing ambergris

وطاب كطِيبك يوم النّدى

ولفظِك في أذُن السامعِ

ولفظِك في أذُن السامعِ

And were pleasing as your sweetness on a day of giving,

And it was as fragrant as your scent on a dewy day

And your words in the listener's ear.
