ألاّ يا عزيزَ الدِّين قولةَ ناطقٍ

ألاّ يا عزيزَ الدِّين قولةَ ناطقٍ

بفضلك لا وانٍ ولا غير مِفْصاحِ

بفضلك لا وانٍ ولا غير مِفْصاحِ

Hear, O Aziz al-Din, the words of one who speaks

O you who are dear to religion, the words of a speaker

of your excellence, neither faltering nor lacking eloquence.

Through your merit, not weak, nor inarticulate

حويتَ رداءَ الفضل في كل مَغْرِب

حويتَ رداءَ الفضل في كل مَغْرِب

ونلتَ نعيمَ العيش في كلّ إصْباح

ونلتَ نعيمَ العيش في كلّ إصْباح

You have gained the mantle of excellence at every sunset,

You have worn the mantle of superiority in every sunset

and attained the bliss of living at every dawn.

And attained the joy of life at every dawn

وهل أنتَ إلاّ مهجةُ المجد والنَّدى

وهل أنتَ إلاّ مهجةُ المجد والنَّدى

مركَّبةً في جسم نور وإيضاح

مركَّبةً في جسم نور وإيضاح

And are you anything but the soul of glory and generosity,

And who are you but the essence of glory and benevolence

embodied in a body of light and clarity?

Embodied in a form of light and lucidity
