وزِينتَهَا والمَحَلَّ السَّنِيّا
And when I saw al-Aziz's palaces,
When I saw the mansions of the Mighty One,
And their adornment and the splendid abode—
Adorned and graced with silk brocade,
وقدand already نُضِّدَتْhad been arrayed بضُروبِwith varieties of الحَرِيرِsilk

وقابَلَ منها البهيُّ البهيَّا
Already arrayed with various kinds of silk,
Vis-à-vis their splendor stood the radiant moon,
With one splendid part facing another—
Resplendent in its full luminescence.

I thought his private chambers a paradise,
I fancied these mansions a paradise,
And imagined al-Aziz within them, well-pleased:
And the Mighty One to be a agreeable host.

A leader who champions the truth's victory,
And so pleased God and gladdened the Prophet.
Pleasing to God and gladdening the Prophet.
