فَرِشني بِخَيرٍ طالَما قَد بَرَيتَني

فَرِشني بِخَيرٍ طالَما قَد بَرَيتَني

وَخَيرُ المَوالي مضن يَريشُ وَلا يَبري

وَخَيرُ المَوالي مضن يَريشُ وَلا يَبري

So enrich me with bounty; long have you worn me down.

Spread me with goodness for as long as you have created me

And the best of patrons is one who enriches others and does not wear them down.

And the best of caretakers is one who feathers and does not pluck
