باهي الغزالةَ بالملاحة باهي

يا عرسَ بدر التم نصر اللَه

يا عرسَ بدر التم نصر اللَه

Vie with the sun in loveliness, vie,

Glorious gazelle with loveliness, glorious

O bride of the full moon, Nasr Allah.

O wedding, full moon completed, victory of Allah

وتَيَمَّني بغريرةٍ قد أقبلت

وتَيَمَّني بغريرةٍ قد أقبلت

إقبال نوّار الربيع الزاهي

إقبال نوّار الربيع الزاهي

And find blessing in an innocent maiden who has come

And blessed me with a cub that approached

As the blossoms of radiant spring come forth,

The coming of spring's brilliant light

لتبشر الحمصي مَعْنَ زمانه

لتبشر الحمصي مَعْنَ زمانه

بقدوم نسلٍ ليس بالمتناهي

بقدوم نسلٍ ليس بالمتناهي

To bring al-Himsi, the Ma'n of his age, glad tidings

من كل ذي كرمٍ لمكرمة اُمِّهِ

وكمال والده الكريم مضاهي

Each generous soul matching his mother's noble virtue

Of every generous one, for his generous mother

And the perfection of his noble father.

And the perfection of his noble father competing

يا أيها الشهم البعيد مكانه

يا أيها الشهم البعيد مكانه

عني ومرآه الجميل تجاهي

عني ومرآه الجميل تجاهي

O noble-hearted man, whose dwelling is far

O you noble, far in his place

From me, yet whose lovely image stands before me,

From me, and its beautiful mirror competing

خلق الإله الشمس تشرق أولاً

خلق الإله الشمس تشرق أولاً

والبدر يتلوها بلا استكراه

والبدر يتلوها بلا استكراه

God created the sun to shine first,

فاكرم بها حلبية لم يعطها ال

باري لغير البارع الأوّاه

واقبَل هدية قائل أرخت زه
