تخوف مسك الخال من نار خدها

تخوف مسك الخال من نار خدها

ومن مشرفيّات الجفون الفواتنِ

ومن مشرفيّات الجفون الفواتنِ

The musk of her beauty mark feared the fire of her cheek,

The mole on her cheek feared the fire of her cheek

And the Mashrafi swords of her bewitching eyelids.

And the beauties of her eyelid arches

فاسكنه الباري كخال محمد

فاسكنه الباري كخال محمد

لدى كتفيها الغرّ خير المساكن

لدى كتفيها الغرّ خير المساكن

So the Creator lodged it, like Muhammad's mole,

So the Creator made it dwell as the mole of Muhammad

Beside her radiant shoulders, the finest of abodes.

By her smooth shoulder, the best dwelling

فذلك خال للنبوة خاتمٌ

فذلك خال للنبوة خاتمٌ

وهذا لعمري خاتمٌ للمحاسن

وهذا لعمري خاتمٌ للمحاسن

For that mole is a seal of prophethood,

For that is a mole of prophecy's seal

And this, by my life, is a seal of beauty.

And this, by my life, is a seal on beauty
