May your safe return bring you joy, my lord,

I congratulate you, my Master, on your safe return

to the delight of the radiant Kaaba's gate

To the joy of the Door of the Noble Kaaba

وعبيد نعمتك الذي ترشفوا

وعبيد نعمتك الذي ترشفوا

كاسين كاس هناً وكاس ولاء

كاسين كاس هناً وكاس ولاء

and the servants of your bounty, who have sipped

And the servants of Your blessings who were honored

two cups: a cup of joy and a cup of loyalty.

With cups of joy and cups of loyalty

فتحت عنايتك الطريق لسالكٍ

فتحت عنايتك الطريق لسالكٍ

ولطالما فتحت طريق هناء

ولطالما فتحت طريق هناء

Your care opened the road for the wayfarer,

Your care opened the way for the traveler

and time and again opened a path to happiness.

And you have often opened the way to bliss

فسرى بها ركب التجارة عالماً

فسرى بها ركب التجارة عالماً

أن اقتدارك حارس البيداء

أن اقتدارك حارس البيداء

So the trading caravan traveled along it by night, knowing

The caravan of trade journeyed by it worldwide

that your might is the desert's guardian.

That your power is the guardian of the desert

وشدت بمدحك في فروق بلابل ال

وشدت بمدحك في فروق بلابل ال

أخبار عند سميذع الخلفاء

أخبار عند سميذع الخلفاء

And in Furuq your praise was sung by the nightingales of the

And the nightingales in the branches sang your praise

news, before the noble chief of the caliphs.

Reports to the listening ears of the Caliphs

فاسلم وسد يا من بغيرك لم يسد

فاسلم وسد يا من بغيرك لم يسد

شعبٌ ولم ينظر شبيهك راء

شعبٌ ولم ينظر شبيهك راء

So live safe and reign, O you without whom greatness was never attained

So be well and close, O you whom without closure

by any people; nor has any beholder seen your like.

No nation prospers and none sees your like

وافخر فقد حلاك ربك بالتقى

وافخر فقد حلاك ربك بالتقى

والصبر في السراء والضراء

والصبر في السراء والضراء

And take pride, for your Lord has adorned you with piety

And pride yourself, for your Lord has adorned you with piety

and patience in prosperity and adversity.

And patience in ease and adversity

وكساك من حلل التواضع حلةً

وكساك من حلل التواضع حلةً

صد النهى عنها يد الخيلاء

صد النهى عنها يد الخيلاء

And clothed you in one of humility's robes,

And clothed you in the garb of humility

from which reason has held back the hand of arrogance.

Which the hand of arrogance is barred from

لا زلت كالنجم الرفيع مكانةً

لا زلت كالنجم الرفيع مكانةً

يعلو السما ويرى بجوف الماء

يعلو السما ويرى بجوف الماء

May you never cease to be like a star, exalted in station,

You remain like the lofty star in status

rising above the sky, yet seen in the water's depths.

Rising over the heavens and seen in the sea's depths

وبقيت شمس علاً وبدر وزراةٍ

وبقيت شمس علاً وبدر وزراةٍ

وغياث محتاجٍ وغيث سخاء

وغياث محتاجٍ وغيث سخاء

And may you remain a sun of glory and a full moon of ministry,

And stay the sun of highness, the full moon and minister

and succor to the needy and a rain of generosity.

And aid of the needy and rain of generosity
