دعوني أسامي بابن سامي فقد غدا

دعوني أسامي بابن سامي فقد غدا

برونقه للشمس والبدر ثالثا

برونقه للشمس والبدر ثالثا

Let me vie in glory through Ibn Sami, for he has become

Let me be called the son of Sami, for he has become

Through his radiance, a third beside the sun and the full moon.

With his radiance, a third to the sun and moon

وثلث معناً بالسماح وحاتماً

وثلث معناً بالسماح وحاتماً

وفي طاعة الرحمن ساماً ويافثا

وفي طاعة الرحمن ساماً ويافثا

And in generosity he joined Ma‘n and Hatim as a third,

And a third in meaning, with his generosity and munificence

And in obedience to the All-Merciful, he joined Shem and Japheth as a third.

And in obeying the Most Merciful, equal to Shem and Japheth
