وجب الثناء على جماعة جادو

إذ شيدوا بيت الإله وجادوا

Praise is due to the people of Jadu,

For they built God's house and gave generously.

قد وسعوه وجددوه من اصله

وتسارعوا لبنائه وانقادوا

They enlarged it and renewed it from its foundation,

And hastened to build it and complied willingly.

لله در عصابة قد سببوا

في بنائه وتعاضدوا وارتادوا

God bless the band who provided the means

For its construction, joined forces, and went in search.

بالله ما أهنا الوفاق إذا بدا

بين الأنام وحفه الإسعاد

By God, how delightful is harmony when it appears

Among people, surrounded by happiness.

يا مسجداً زان البلاد بحسنه

وتباشرت بمشيده العباد

O mosque whose beauty adorned the land,

And at whose construction the worshippers rejoiced,

لا زلت منبع كل خير عامرا

يأوي اليك الراكع السجاد

May you ever remain a flourishing source of every good,

Where the bowing, oft-prostrating worshipper takes refuge.

وحمائم الاذكار تهتف دائما

برياض حسنك والهنا يزداد

And the doves of remembrance call unceasingly

In the gardens of your beauty, while joy increases.

يا ليت شعري لو رزقت بعالم

يشفي الغليل وشأنه الارشاد

Oh, would that I knew whether you might be blessed with a scholar

Who quenches burning thirst, and whose calling is guidance,

يحيي الدروس وما تصوح نبته

ويزيل ما هاجت به الانكاد

Who revives lessons, and whose plants never wither,

And removes what afflictions have stirred up.

واغفر لنا ظم عقد ذا أوزاره

يا ربنا وأنله ما يعتاد

And forgive [the composer] of this necklace his sins,

O our Lord, and grant him what he usually receives.

اعني سليمان البروني نجل من

اضحى جميل الذكر وهو مراد

I mean Sulayman al-Baruni, son of one

Who gained a fine reputation—and he is the one meant—

متوسلا بمحمد وبآله

وبصحبه وبمن بهم قد سادوا

Seeking intercession through Muhammad and his family,

And through his companions, and those who became eminent through them.

صلى عليه الله ما هب الصبا

وعليهم ما حنت الاكباد

May God bless him as long as the east wind blows,

And them, as long as hearts yearn,

او قال منشد هذه مترنما

وجب الثناء على جماعة جادو

Or a reciter speaks these words in song:

Praise is due to the people of Jadu.
