Those with failings have come to the door of your pardon.

At the door of your pardon the errant ones have arrived

So pardon and forgive, and do not rebuke the supplicant.

So forgive, be lenient, and do not rebuke a brother in need

فالعدل من راحتي كفيك منبعث

وحلمكم في الورى افضى الى العجب

For justice springs from the palms of your hands,

For justice is the source of my hands' comfort

and your forbearance among humankind has inspired wonder.

And your clemency in existence is wondrous indeed

وصيتكم شاع في الآفاق يذكركم

بفوزكم في سباق العلم والادب

بفوزكم في سباق العلم والادب

And your renown has spread across the horizons, telling of you

Your ethics have spread through the horizons, making you known

for your victory in the race of learning and letters.

For your triumph in the race of knowledge and literary deed

فجد علي بمزن من عدالتكم

فجد علي بمزن من عدالتكم

يزيل ما بفوادي من ضنا التعب

يزيل ما بفوادي من ضنا التعب

So grant me rainclouds of your justice

So bestow on me, O Muzn, some of your justice

to dispel the affliction of weariness within my heart.

To remove the strain of fatigue that troubles my heart and its seed

وامنن ببعض التفات من عنايتكم

واستر بحلمك ما قد كان من غضب

واستر بحلمك ما قد كان من غضب

And favor me with a little attention from your care,

And favor me with some of your care through your grace

and veil with your forbearance whatever anger has arisen.

And with your patience veil what was of anger and greed

حقق رجاء الورى في حسن نيتكم

Fulfill humankind's hope in the goodness of your intent,

Realize the hopes of the people through your good intent

for imprisonment is justice, yet a mine of hardship.

For prison is justice, though the mine of toil and misdeed
