صلى عليك النبض قبل تنفسي

‏ياسيدًا للقلب والنبضاتِ!

‏ياسيدًا للقلب والنبضاتِ!

The pulse invoked blessings upon you before I breathed,

My pulse prayed for you before my breath,

O master of the heart and the heartbeats!

O master of the heartbeats!

‏وكذا تصلّي في الأنام قوافلٌ

‏وكذا تصلّي في الأنام قوافلٌ

‏قد حُمّلت بالحبِّ والرحمات

‏قد حُمّلت بالحبِّ والرحمات

And likewise, among humankind, caravans pray,

And so do caravans pray throughout the days,

Already laden with love and mercies.

Loaded with love and mercies.

‏كوني وآياتٌ  تناجي بعضها

‏كوني وآياتٌ تناجي بعضها

‏بكَ أسمعت روحي وبعض شتاتي

‏بكَ أسمعت روحي وبعض شتاتي

My universe and verses whisper to one another;

You are verses conversing with each other,

Through you, I made my soul and some of my scattered self hear.

With you I heard my soul and parts of me.

‏هذا امتداد النور فيضك أصلُهُ

‏هذا امتداد النور فيضك أصلُهُ

‏فالشمس تُنبي عن صباحٍ آتي

‏فالشمس تُنبي عن صباحٍ آتي

This is the extension of light; your outpouring is its source.

This is the spreading of your light, its source,

For the sun tells of a morning to come.

So the sun tells of a coming dawn.
