You have become a shade over one whose dominion's shade
You have become a shade over those whose power reigns,
embraces all people, the nomadic among them and the settled.
Spreading through the land plainly, from them and drawing near.

فَاِستَخدَمَ النَصرَ وَالتَأيِيدَ وَالظَفَرا
He draped it over a court before which Time bowed,
Time has draped over an assembly which it has debased for him,
and so it made victory, support, and triumph its servants.
So he made use of victory, aid, and triumph.

When its master takes shelter in it on the day of greetings,
When his Lord tests him on the Day of Peace through him,
you shield him from his two enviers—the sun and the moon.
The sun and moon suffice him against his envious foes.
