1. مُذ زار مَن أهْواه في رَوضةٍ

    أرْشَفنِي ثَغْراً هو الخَمْرُ

    When the one I love paid a visit in a garden,

    he let me sip from lips that are wine.

  2. قالت لِي الأرْدافُ مِن خَلْفِه

    اليومَ خَمْراً وغَداً أمْرُ
