زارَنا الوَرْدُ في أسَرِّ زَمانٍ

فقَرَيْناه بابْنةِ الزَّرْجُونِ

فقَرَيْناه بابْنةِ الزَّرْجُونِ

The rose visited us at the happiest of times;

The rose visited us in happiest time

So we welcomed it with the daughter of the vine.

We neighbored it with a primrose fair

وبُعَيْدَ الرَّبيعِ أطْفالُ نَوْرٍ

وبُعَيْدَ الرَّبيعِ أطْفالُ نَوْرٍ

لَعِبت والخيولُ قُضْبُ غُصونِ

لَعِبت والخيولُ قُضْبُ غُصونِ

And shortly after spring, children of blossom

In far spring play children of light

Played, their horses slender shoots of boughs.

While horses are switches of boughs dancing in air
