يقول على رأس الشريفِ علامةٌ

يقول على رأس الشريفِ علامةٌ

ونورُ نبيِّ الله عن ذاك أغْنَاهُ

ونورُ نبيِّ الله عن ذاك أغْنَاهُ

He says: There is a mark upon the sharif's head.

Yet the light of God's Prophet has spared him the need for it.

فقلتُ جرى ماءُ المكارمِ والندى

فقلتُ جرى ماءُ المكارمِ والندى

وقد طاب مَجْراه لذا اخْضَرَّ أعْلاهُ

وقد طاب مَجْراه لذا اخْضَرَّ أعْلاهُ

So I said: The water of noble qualities and generosity has flowed,

And its course was pure, so the top of his head turned green.
