قدَّر اللّهُ أن أعِيشَ فريداً

قدَّر اللّهُ أن أعِيشَ فريداً

في ديارٍ أُساقُ كَرْهاً إليْهَا

في ديارٍ أُساقُ كَرْهاً إليْهَا

God decreed that I should live alone

God destined that I live unique

In lands to which I am driven against my will.

In lands I'm led to, though I hate them

وبقلْبِي مُخَدَّراتُ مَعانٍ

وبقلْبِي مُخَدَّراتُ مَعانٍ

أُنْزِلَتْ آيةُ الحِجابِ عليْهَا

أُنْزِلَتْ آيةُ الحِجابِ عليْهَا

And in my heart are secluded maidens of meaning,

And sedated in my heart are meanings

Upon whom the verse of the veil was revealed.

On which the veil's verse has been placed
