حرا مَعنى يقطَع الدو حايل
O rider of the mount, long proven in trials,
O rider who is traveling the past as if living it
A purebred, seasoned she-camel crossing the waste, bearing no young;
A free meaning that cuts through the farness of the two abodes

A reddish-white Sharari, undaunted by demanding errands,
My eagerness whose flames fear no demands
Fresh and unwearied while the noonday heat still lasts;
Excuse me, for I am still free in my sayings

May what you relay of news reward you

Just as the unjust person, if he hides, is given generosity
It pulls away from those riding purebred steeds.
He is denied it if he joins the caravans openly

Make ready to travel on it; there are no hindrances;
The path left them without supplies
There is no generous man among the Turks to appeal to.
The Turks have no honorable one who lends a hand

O riders, leave me be and neglect my letters
From me, addressed to the quencher of burning anguish:
A meaning from me no more playing with words

We count him by his crying during times of agony

They retired from it denying kindness

O sheikh it is not with cunning and methods
In Turkish lands, we are mute fools.
We in Turkish lands are deaf and confused

And your honor lies in leaving the Turks, foul in their deeds.
And your honor is in parting from the Turks' wicked deeds

If a wind blows, in a single day we arrive.
If a wind blows for one day we become delirious

I would have saddled strings of she-camels carrying no young for departure.
I prepared myself for the bitter with great exertion

We travel by night, the enemy at midday.
At night we march and during the day we rest
