O Messenger of God, my plight has exhausted

Oh Messenger of God, my affairs have become constricted,

my resourcefulness, and misgivings have beset my mind.

My stratagems exhausted, and worries disturb my thoughts.

لا تكلني إلى سوي جاهك الضافي

لا تكلني إلى سوي جاهك الضافي

فمالي سواه يكشف ضري

فمالي سواه يكشف ضري

Do not entrust me to anything but your ample standing,

Do not abandon me except to your overflowing glory,

for I have nothing else to relieve my affliction.

For I have none but You to remove my harm.

فأزل راحماً بجاهك همي

فأزل راحماً بجاهك همي

وأغشى وأغن بالبر فقرى

وأغشى وأغن بالبر فقرى

So, in mercy, remove my sorrow through your standing,

So remove my concerns with Your mercy, I implore,

and veil my poverty, and enrich it with kindness.

And enrich and suffice me with goodness my poverty.

بان كسري لدي الأنام وأني

بان كسري لدي الأنام وأني

لارجي به من الله جبري

لارجي به من الله جبري

My brokenness has become plain before humankind, and I

My brokenness before mankind has become clear to me,

surely hope, through it, for God to mend me.

And I hope only in God for my restoration.
