The sight of him dispelled the eclipse from the moon at its fullness;
The eclipse has unveiled the full moon in all its splendor,
And his exalted rank shielded him from the envious one's eye.
And protected it from the envious eyes that wished its ruin.

And brought him forth within the halo of beauty and splendor
It brought it out in the sphere of beauty and brilliance,
A conjunction of fortunate stars whose ending is not granted.
A companion of good fortune whose disappearance cannot be hastened.

God bless him—a moon whose light overspread
For it, God created a moon that shines with its light,
A countenance whose morning and evening were alike.
Its rising and setting equal in radiance.

A comfort to the eyes of the lovesick, because
A joy to the eyes of those kept awake by cares,
When night grows pitch-black, the sight of him dispels it.
For when the night darkens, its rising lightens their gloom.

If my eyes are blessed by the sight of its light,
Then my heart's suffering in loving him is only just.
Then it is right that my heart feels torment in its love.

Though hiding love may cure the heart,
Then revealing love's secret is its cure.
Divulging the secret of love is also its remedy.

He appeared, and his good fortune revived his martyrs;
While I, who found bliss in the full moon - may its worshippers thrive!
Who will bring me a moon whose martyrs are made happy?

And its delicate features are framed by the river lily’s bloom.
Then his splendor veiled its brilliant radiance.

Radiance is ascribed to his resplendent countenance?

So He raised the sun of sovereignty to the zenith of its fortune,
Above a sublime horizon with the banner of victory fluttering.
Upon an exalted height, its banner fluttering with victory.
And blessed the world with the return of abundant rain,

And favored the world with the return of a downpour,
The sustenance of creatures is His bounty.
Abundant, for the people's sustenance is his giving.

I asked Him who saved Joseph from the well
Whose extensive knowledge only increased their toil.
That His exalted majesty save you from the evil of calamities,
For this prayer, as Yaseen was its end,

And surely a prayer whose seal was Ya-Sin
And last in security, with no expectation of your time ending.
Truly deserves that its hope should not fail.
That you may recite to all ears the interdictions of wrong,

So live in safety whose passing is not feared,
As the eclipse has unveiled the full moon in all its splendor.
