O you who shame the full moon and the sun at midmorning,
O revealer of the full moon and sun at dawn
With narcissus glances and bān-tree figures.
With narcissus glances and slender stature
كَلاَمُكَyour words يَأسُوheal جُرْحَthe wound لَحْظِكَof your glance فِيin الحَشَاthe heart

Your words heal the wound of your glance within the heart—
Your words heal the wounds of your glances in my inner thoughts
With the myrtle of cheek-down, or with a wound to the cheeks?
Whether by lightly excusing, or by tenderly wounding
