ياO سَالِبِيyou who rob me بِلَوَاحِظٍwith glances هَارُوتُهَاtheir Harut

O you who rob me with glances whose Harut
O you who flees with graceful glances, their magic enchanting eyes
Has made the lovesick one’s eyes flow as springs.
If I gained union with you, some wish of love fulfilled
لوif صَحَّwere fulfilled ليfor me منfrom كَنْزِthe treasure of وصْلكَunion with you مَطْلبٌa wish
لَقَضَيْتُI would surely pay حَقَّاa due لِلْهَوَىto love وَدُيُونَاand debts
If a wish from the treasure of union with you were fulfilled for me,
I would repay desire's rights, and love’s deep debts atone
I would surely pay love its due and its debts.
