ياO أشْرَفَnoblest مُرْسَلٍmessenger وَيَاand O خَيْرَbest نَبِيprophet
يا أشْرَفَ مُرْسَلٍ وَيَا خَيْرَ نَبِي
مَكِّيMeccan عَرَبِيArab
مَكِّي عَرَبِي
O noblest of messengers, and O best of prophets,
Meccan, Arab.
يَاO أكرمَnoblest مَنْthose who جِىءَwere brought بِرَفْعِwith the lifting of الحُجُبِthe veils
يَا أكرمَ مَنْ جِىءَ بِرَفْعِ الحُجُبِ
فَوْقَabove الرتُّبِthe ranks
فَوْقَ الرتُّبِ
O noblest of those brought as the veils were lifted,
Above the ranks.
إقْبُلْaccept مَدْحيmy praise وَجَازِand reward وَاكْشِفْand dispel كُرَبِيmy troubles
إقْبُلْ مَدْحي وَجَازِ وَاكْشِفْ كُرَبِي
وَاشْفِand heal وَصَبِيmy illness
وَاشْفِ وَصَبِي
Accept my praise, reward me, and dispel my troubles,
And heal my illness.
