وَالدَّمعُand tears جرَىflowed بِأفْقِacross the horizon of خَدّيmy cheek بَارِيwearing me away
Longing seared my soul with fire.
And tears flowed across my cheek’s horizon, wearing me away.
وَالسُّقْمُand sickness كماas ترَىyou see لجِسْميfor my body بَارِيwearing away

And sickness, as you see, is wasting my body.
What can I do? The Creator has decreed this.
