فِيin وَجْنَتِهَاher cheek النَّعِيمُbliss قَدْindeed شَبَّkindled لَهيبْa flame
فِي وَجْنَتِهَا النَّعِيمُ قَدْ شَبَّ لَهيبْ
لِلْقَلْبِfor the heart مُذِيبْmelting
لِلْقَلْبِ مُذِيبْ
In her cheek, bliss has kindled a flame,
Melting the heart.
وَالوَاضِحُand the radiant face وَالقَوَامُand the figure شَمْسٌa sun وَقضيبْand a slender branch
وَالوَاضِحُ وَالقَوَامُ شَمْسٌ وَقضيبْ
وَالردْفُand the rump كَثِيبْa sand dune
وَالردْفُ كَثِيبْ
And her radiant face and figure are a sun and a slender branch,
And her rump is a sand dune.
وَالسالفُand the side of the neck وَالشفَاهُand the lips خَمْرٌwine وَضَرِيبْand honey
وَالسالفُ وَالشفَاهُ خَمْرٌ وَضَرِيبْ
وَالرّيقُand the saliva حَلِيبْmilk
وَالرّيقُ حَلِيبْ
And the side of her neck and her lips are wine and honey,
And her saliva is milk.
