He smiled, revealing daisies in silver,
Smiled from a cheek set in a dimple,
And unveiled a crescent upon his brow,
And unveiled a crescent on his brow,
وَقَابَلَand he set opposite خَدَّهُhis cheek بِشُعَاعِwith the radiance of رَاحٍwine
فَخِلْنَاso we thought الجمعَthe union بينbetween النَيِّرَيْنِthe two luminaries

And matched his cheek with the rays of comfort,
So we thought the two luminaries had come together.
So we brought together the two lights.
