At your door, O Chosen One, I have halted lean mounts.

Love and longing forbade them to taste sleep.

And now, after their night journey, they seek sleep,

so that at dawn the outcome of the night journey may be praised.

And here I am, a guest, seeking sustenance from you,

for it is the hospitable host’s custom to offer generous hospitality.
