As though the chandelier and the lamps around it,
As if the chandeliers and lamps around it
in a revered mosque of evident beauty,
Were, by a manifestly beautiful mosque, magnified,

لِغِيدِ بعرش الياسمينِ المنظَّمِ
were gardens, the eyes of their blossom-gazelles gazing
Gardens whose bright-eyed plants loudly sung
at graceful maidens in a bower of neatly arranged jasmine.
For the jasmine throne's well-ordered glory.
