The ringdoves of the clouds wailed, their nest the firmament.

Their weeping is laughter to the peacocks of the hills.

And the stars of the plants—in their necklaces is unveiled

The neck of the clouds, whose moons are the pools.

And the roses between terraced streams—

As though they were a twilight glow, with ripples all around it.

So pour us clear wine from the juice of the vine,

As though it were molten, pure gold.

The admixture raises bubbles upon its goblets,

As though they were a net of white silk.
