The cloud-mass has spread its pavilion wide,

and blossoms are the cushions’ coverlet.

As for the cloth, there have been embroidered for us

from it our seats and armrests.

    Its trees and its fruits

    are like bosoms and necklaces.

A homeland where misery dies for fear

    of the anemones within it.

    The birds have sung along

    its pathways every strain.

So free your heart there from

the bondage of cares by drinking aged wine.

As for the chamomile, its boughs are

    white of forelock and hair-parting.

    And the rains’ kohl-applicators have

lined the gardens’ pupils with them.
